Gentleman: I have two rocks in my coat pocket: One a diamond, one a nugget of pure gold. I am considering selling the diamond and giving the money to the poor.
Stranger: And the gold?
Gentleman: A ring; forged and fitted for my wife.
Stranger: And what keeps me from robbing you of your diamond and your gold?
Gentleman: You have kind eyes. Even from afar, I knew by your kind eyes.
Stranger: Ah, I see. Perhaps it is a trick of the light. I could be meaner than black sin.
